Lazy Sunday is a perfect day for learning about Moravian material culture and traditions within the beautiful scenery of the Beskid Mountains.
Our trip with an English speaking guide to Wallachian Open Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm which is part of National Museum in Nature contains two expositions: The Little Wooden Town and the Watermill Valley.
The Windmill Valley is a place where you can see the machinery, work and technical skills of traditional craftsmen... For example Wool making, Smithing in a Water mill – Hammer or a Sawmill.
The Little Wooden Town is an illustration of wonderful vernacular Moravian municipal architecture. You might see original buildings, a demonstration of folklore and taste some traditional meals.
You also have an opportunity to buy some souvenirs – wooden, woollen products or traditional meals such as korbačíky – braided cheese, frgál – pie or slivovice – plum brandy.
❗️We are taking bus at ÚAN (Central bus station), so please be everywhere in time.
❗️For a pleasant experience, we strongly recommend bringing comfortable shoes, snacks and drinks throughout the bus journey. And take warm clothes (such as water/windproof jacket or rain coat) in case of cold weather.
You can pay for this trip during Office Hours at our ESN office - Dormitory building C, 7th floor.

🧡What with you: Waterproof jacket or raincoat (in case of bad weather), student card (ISIC), ODIS card or 2 45-minute tickets for public transport, CZK cash & backpack for souvenirs.
