Tatra Kopřivnice and Štramberk trip

Join us on our trip to Kopřivnice, where we plan to visit the museum of TATRA Trucks. TATRA is a car manufacturer residing there with quite a bit of history relating to our nation.

We will then continue with a little double hike (by Czech standarts) to the lookout tower on Bílá Hora, old and new limestone quarries and the Šipka cave where neanderthal people once resided.

After the hike, you will get a chance to taste a local treat “Štramberk ears” - a gingerbread-like pastry sold on the Štramberk square where the trip will end. The square also has a conveniently placed city brewery. Overlooking Štramberk is its majestic tower, only remnant of a long gone castle that we’ll let you explore on its own. The way back you can undertake together with us or freely on your own.

The price will include the TATRA museum entrance but NOT the Train tickets! You’ll have to buy them yourself at home or with us at the train station.

For a pleasant experience, we strongly recommend bringing the right outdoor shoes. Snacks and drinks are needed, but if you don’t want to take them from home, next to the museum is a market where we will have a little stop.
